Video editing guides for Mac
Straight answers to the questions creators ask before choosing a video editor, with sources and dates. Where octuedit is one of the options, we say so and say when another tool fits better.

How are these guides written?
Each guide answers one question people ask when choosing an AI video editor in 2026, such as which editors you can buy once, which work with Claude Code or Codex, and which upload your footage. Every competitor price and requirement comes from that company's own website, with the sources linked at the bottom of each guide and the date we checked them.
We make octuedit, and the guides say so wherever it is one of the options. They also say when another tool is the better choice, for example Palmier Pro if you are on macOS 26 and want a free editor, or DaVinci Resolve if you want to grade by hand. If something is out of date, email shivank@octupie.com and we will correct it.
