Privacy policy

The short version

octuedit is a Mac app. Your footage, projects and exports stay on your Mac. We do not upload them, and we do not run analytics inside the app.

What stays on your Mac

Video, audio, images, transcripts, project files and exports are stored in folders on your computer. We never receive them.

Your AI chat

The chat in octuedit is powered by Claude Code, running under your own Anthropic account. Messages you send in the chat go to Anthropic under their terms and privacy policy. octuedit does not proxy or store them.

This website

If you join the waitlist we store your email address, the button you used, and the prompt you typed if any. We use it only to tell you when octuedit opens and to understand what people want to make. We do not sell it. Ask us to delete it at any time.

Payments

When purchases open, payments will be handled by a payment provider. We will not see or store your card details.
