octuedit costs $99 USD once for a lifetime license with updates included. That price is before tax: sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where your country charges it. There is no subscription.
One price, paid once
You pay once and keep it, with updates included, the same way Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve Studio are sold. Nothing renews.
What a year of editing costs
Most AI video editors are subscriptions. Here is the first year at each tool's listed price, checked October 2026; each comparison page links its source.

To be fair about it: octuedit also needs your own Claude Code or Codex plan, billed separately by Anthropic or OpenAI, while the AI editors above include their own AI with usage limits. If you already pay for one of those plans, octuedit doesn't add another AI bill.
What you get
octuedit is a desktop app for macOS, sold as a digital download. One payment buys a lifetime license with every feature on the Macs you own, plus updates. There are no tiers and no usage credits. Your footage, projects and exports stay on your Mac.
What you need
A Mac running macOS 13 or later, with Apple silicon or Intel. octuedit runs on your own Claude Code or Codex account, which is a separate subscription billed by its provider and not included in the price.

Working with editors? Each extra seat costs less than the one before, from $79 for the second down to $39. Editors sign in with their own email. See octuedit for teams.
Payment and taxes
Orders are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited, which handles payment, local currency and invoicing. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where your country requires it.

Is octuedit a subscription?
No. octuedit is $99 USD before tax, paid once for a lifetime license. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.
Does the $99 include the AI?
No. octuedit doesn't sell AI credits. The editing runs on your own Claude Code or Codex plan, which Anthropic or OpenAI bill separately. If you already pay for one of them, octuedit doesn't add a second AI bill.
Are future updates included?
Yes. Updates are included with the lifetime license, the same way Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve Studio are sold.
Which Macs can I use it on?
Any Mac on macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Ask within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Paddle, our merchant of record, processes payments and refunds.
Can my editors use octuedit too?
Yes. Add a seat for each editor from Settings > Team inside the app. The second seat costs $79, the third to fifth $69, and the price keeps falling to $39 from the 26th. Every seat works exactly like the first license. Each editor signs in with their own email, so nobody shares a key. See the team page for the full prices.
How is octuedit delivered?
octuedit is downloadable software. After checkout you get a download link for the macOS app (.dmg) by email, and updates arrive inside the app.
